This is very inaccurate. They actually explain towards the end of the full bodycan video why they keep the kit when talking to a nurse at the hospital.Amazing how the officer that found him immediately knew to go get an overdose kit. Almost like he knew dude had a drug problem so he wouldn't be shocked to see him folded in a bathroom. Didn't even go up to him to see what happened.
So many cops know other cops are not fit to be walking around with a gun, but don't say shiit and instead do everything to defend them.
I wonder how many people that meth head killed.

When searching people, especially the homeless and dealers who are known to have all sorts of paraphernalia in the pockets or hidden under clothing its very easy to touch drugs or get some on your skin. Because of the potency of fenty California cops have a state law that requires the kits. Literally a fingernail tip of fenty can kill you and this stuff seeps into your skin almost immediately , not just through breathing it or injecting it.
This procedure was put into place after a cop died back in 2021 doing a search and touched fentanyl in a suspect's pocket. No narcan was onsite and that officer died at the hospital.
