Was there a caption under the pic they exposed his disdain or contempt for minorities? If there is written expression on his facebook page that can be interpreted as racial bias then yes, he should be fired.

Only one unit of the confederate army adopted that flag.

The confederate had lots of official battle flags that differentiated from the main flag due to the similarities with the union flag, that flag was not one of them.

To say that the flag was "adopted" with no context is a gross over exaggeration of the real facts.

And again, during the Civil rights movement was when southern states started flying the flag next to the American flag on a state level. This was done in direct protest of integration

Now I see you're getting your info from CNN....... The bolded says it all... and like I say, KKKs, and hate groups in general desecrated the meaning of the flag in the eyes of many confederate historians..... sheiit, and the Klan you talking about, the group during JIm Crow, used to rock an AMERICAN flag......... of course they were fighting for their independence and the right to own slaves, just like the Union wasn't fighting for the liberation of slaves..

But the right to own slaves only applied to about 15% of southerners... The other 85% were fighting for the right for the south to be independent.....

I'm not the one to applaud moral victories like this, cause that's all it is..... The govt of these United States could care less about the sanctity of human relations in this country... no change in public policy and statutes that effect us exclusively, and no consequences for being targeted disproportionately by LEOs will be enforced.....
