Don’t really understand the Bamba trade …if they were trying to free up room for Gabriel and Vandy where will Bamba get any meaningful minutes :patrice: And now who are the lakers going to use to guard point of attack in pick n rolls …DLO and Dennis/Beasley? :picard:

Maybe they’re going with a “our offense will be our defense” approach
Maybe they have hope for Christie or Reaves guarding pgs?

Will Christie even see the court now with all of the guards they brought in? Mo Bamba is maybe a slight defensive upgrade over Bryant but not by much at all and to give up your best PnR defender to get him seems a little strange …but maybe he comes out and is inspired by playing with allstar talent and really takes his game to the new level :ehh: I’m just going to be really interested in watching over the next several weeks what Darvin plans on doing to get this defense back working with this current roster construction

TYRONE GA!
We almost had reparations with the CP3 deal :martin:

League never needs to "own" teams again after that shyt because if owners gonna cry if they don't like the moves the GM of said team is doing, then it's pointless.

fukk Gilbert forever for crying like a bytch and getting the rest of the owners to side with him on that shyt.

Brolic... Alcoholics
If we don't make the play-in, it's time to blow it up. :yeshrug:

He can't stay healthy and is the key to us even being competitive.

Trade him and Bron and just start over.

See if the Thunder willing to give up some of dem picks they got.

I'm hopeful these moves work out but so much of it depends on Davis being healthy.

nikkas be quick to talk that locker room shyt when it came to Sabo. I can't speak for the locker room because I ain't there but what I can speak to is the second best player on the team playing a total of 76 fukkin games in the last two seasons.

So blame Westbrook for whatever you wanna blame him for but at least he was playing.

Beasley can guard point of attack on pick and rolls, it's like the one thing he does decent on defense. I'm not sold on him at all though.

D-Lo / Schroder
Reaves / Beasley
Bron/Brown
Rui/Vanderbilt/Gabriel
AD/Bamba

Honestly that looks kinda weird but at least they're more versatile than before. Strangest thing is that there's looking like less and less reason to have Rui there at all, so did they actually have a plan when they traded for him?

The starting lineup as I wrote it is very offensively talented but pretty mediocre defensively. Might look better with Vanderbilt in there instead and Rui coming off the bench, or AD and Bamba in at the same time.

I’ll believe it when I see it on this team .. but that’s what they better hope he can do becuse they have nothing else in the event he falters
I'm not really sold on him though, if they can trade him then I would hope they're looking to package his salary with Lonnie Walker and some picks in order to get that 3-and-D which is the main final piece they need.
They really do need some sort of real 3 & D guy …maybe they’ll just outscore people ..that could be the strategy because this offense should be excellent with the shooters finally in place …or maybe Ham comes up with some sort of blitz/scramble back scheme but I really worry about them keeping players in front of them on the perimeter… I didn’t initially think they were but they might need to start Vanderbilt over Rui even tho his shooting is shaky
