This thread is so AIDS now.
There are positives to take from this series and the "blow it up" crowd is wrong, imo. The main reason they are losing this series is because Murray is playing above his head and been in an absolute zone. He's averaging 35 on 52/46% shooting. That is way above his norms and the first two series. Credit him to balling out. This is what happens when teams win it all. Guys have career performances.
The top four of the Lakers is playing really well and they've been in each game. They just haven't been able to get over the hump. AD, LeBron, Reaves and Rui are all having really good series. LeBron isn't "get on my back" LeBron anymore but he's putting up 24/10/9. The biggest issue with him is his three point shooting. It's fallen off a cliff and each one is basically a turnover.
AD's averaging 29/14; Reaves is 23/6/4; Rui is averaging 17. All of them are shooting are shooting great. The rest of the team hasn't performed offensively. In the previous two rounds, there was always one or two guys who randomly showed up each night. Just hasn't happened this round.
I would run it back with the top four next season. I don't know how much they'll be able to add salary wise but if they can add a couple more reliable players, they could be in the mix again next year.
