This is why I prefer Conway more, he raps into another way with his music. Most want that pure coke rap but I need a balance. Can’t only just listen to that all the time.

Honestly once cats hear the album I think they'll realize there's not many other good options for a single besides a real obvious joint with Wayne and Ross that maybe they couldn't get them all in the same place to shoot a video?
Like...most of the album is more content like The Cow, Forever Dropping Tears, Proud of Me, etc. It's kind of a paradox of an album for a major label debut. It's the most introspective/personal and dark album he's made, with less features than his last 2 big projects (FKTAG and Maquina). On one hand it's a terrible album to drop on a major label, but on the other hand it's dope that he was able to get a major label to even release an album that's got maybe one legit "single", at most. It's like a darker version of FKTAG but with no trap beats.
I think when left with no great choices, they just decided to feed the base and give them a joint with the main GxFR trio and their original producer.

Traditionally, albums that get pushed back for so long always end up being underwhelming when they finally release. We heard so many bangers that were slated for this album over the last few years that aren’t going to be on the final album. I can wish for the best but my educated guess is that It’ll be underwhelming

Everything you said is true....theres other reasons though. The anticipation itself is gone. People moved on as other projects came out. There is arguably more hype for Tana Talk 4, Pusha T is probably gonna drop real soon, Games album with Hit-Boy, there is also the Donda 2 hype.....sure they are different artists with different sounds, but GDMM is being squeezed with all the good releases that just dropped and all of those around the corner that people may be anticipating more.
Between the time he released From King To A God and now, he had a number of windows he could have dropped the album and it may have done well. Granted a lot of it falls on Shady, but if it doesn't do well/isnt well received he's gotta own his role in the terrible rollout as well.

No doubt. Everything about the entire album rollout process has been highly questionable. I also don’t understand the mixtape only a week before GDMM. You wait all that time pushing back GDMM last year and don’t drop a pre album mixtape (which is dope concept) until a week before the album release

His best and most complete was From King To A God, i think he can still top that album.
I don’t think he topped Reject 2. Hell I don’t think he put out a better project since GOAT. All his shyt has been one long verse for awhile to me

I think his sound is much crisper and he was writing better on FKTG. Reject 2 is more raw and what people want from him, but he's gotta grow a bit.
