Cinema movies are not as good as some folks like to say they are
And some folks love to CAP with it, act like they smarter or come off like they a higher class or better than other folks….. when most cases it’s much further from the truth
Let me piggyback off this one.
"Character driven" movies are usually massively overrated. Unfortunately, more often than not, it means that there's not a whole lot of plot. Also means that you're probably going to asked to invest in a "deeply flawed" main character, which usually just means they're a shytty person meant to "challenge the audience".
Rotten Tomatoes has ruined opinions on movies, and to an extent, had a negative effect on how and what movies get made.
I really enjoy Get Out, but objectively speaking, it's not as good a movie as it's made out to be. It was very much a case of being the right movie that came out at the right time. That said, it still might be the most effective tool ever in explaining the general discomfort of being the only black person at a gathering of white people.
Mike Epps is cool but not funny enough to carry a whole comedy by himself, the mexican neighbors was, etc...
, the story n second characters are way better than in Next Friday n finally its a christmas hood movie
... Its like these two nikkaz sat everyday with hype williams n talked about how they wanted be portrayed in every scene: Nas as the wise street cat that is above material things n X as the crazy ass hood nikka that nobody better test
