MCMG in their 40’sEh, He's 34. Most of the dudes in the main event scene right now are 39-47. They just signed Penta at 40. I don't think age matters that much any more, at least to the WWE.
With how fast Starks debuted, I wonder if there was some kind of push from the HS to get Cedric Alexander before the 90 days and AEW/WWE made some kind of deal on those two.
Or did that non compete law actually pass already?

It's that easy if they want it to be that easy. We saw it back in the day when Flair was under TNA contract but WWE wanted to use him. They could make whatever deal they want, but it's not quite that easy when you factor in Snowman and how Big Swole (Cedric's wife) exited the company.

If MVP and Lashley go to Tony and say go get him then Tony Khan is going to go get him. Cedric & Swole got bills to pay.Snowman and his twitter fingers insulted Ced's wife on her way out of the company. That's a tad different scenario than Flair being under contract and making a one-off appearance for the HOF.
People don't work anywhere near as many matches as they used to as well. Less matches, less time on the road stuck in planes or long drives, and improvements in medicine will certainly help extend careers compared to the days when people would work 150-200+ matches a year.Eh, He's 34. Don't think it ever went into effect but wouldn't apply to WWE anywayWith how fast Starks debuted, I wonder if there was some kind of push from the HS to get Cedric Alexander before the 90 days and AEW/WWE made some kind of deal on those two.

And Cedric can always forgo whatever money is on the table for the remainder of his 90-days if he signs a contract with AEW. Rarely does anyone ever do it though because that's three months pay without having to work and allows them to take your time figuring out next steps. If MVP and Lashley go to Tony and say go get him then Tony Khan is going to go get him. You sure? I thought that was mandatory unless they were fired/released with cause or came up with some kind of reason to waive it like Angle did when he jumped to TNA.And Cedric can always forgo whatever money is on the table for the remainder of his 90-days if he signs a contract with AEW. I wouldn't say I guarantee it's true by any means, but I'm pretty sure that's what I read. But it's something no one even really wants to do so not overly relevant. You sure? Cause I remember they was going hard on Brock about it after his release.
His guys are probably dying to get him in there. I wish they added some young guys already there instead though.I wouldn't say I guarantee it's true by any means, but I'm pretty sure that's what I read. But it's something no one even really wants to do so not overly relevant.
I can't imagine Cedric would be someone AEW would be dying to get in there immediately anyway.
I actually like what AEW is generally doing with ex-WWE talent now - not bringing them in right away, seeing how the are working out elsewhere and evaluating from there. Some people once they get outside of the WWE machine just aren't worth it, a lesson which AEW has had to learn the hard way.
