Not only is it bad from an ethic standpoint, it's also really dumb from a business/strategic standpoint to freeze out your talent. All you're doing is building anticipation for their return (biggest pops are built off absence).

Vince woulda just jobbed out guys Fenix and Starks. And while that's also a shytty thing to do, it's better than leaving them in the bench :manny:

nah Vince definitely left Luke Harper on the bench because he didn't portray the character Vince envisioned "properly" and also left Mustafa Ali on the bench for long stretches. It seemed like if someone asked for a release, it gave him even more incentive to ice them towards the end of his reign.

It's just stupid to be the owner icing talent when now you're giving free agents potential pause at giving AEW a bigger look because if WWE is gonna let people like Ricochet and Bobby Lashley have their contract expire without adding injury time, now all of the sudden you're the "bad guy" between the 2 and thats never where they intended to be
