fukk outa here with this revisionist history.Used to love buying consoles back in the day...back when devs had very little money to work with but still developed full games. A time where DLC was on the wishlist alongside "Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter" in Junior High School banter. And that lasted for a while..Dreamcast had "DLC" but it was more a fanservice affair, it wasn't until Xbox decided to pack shyt you used to be able to unlock just by playing the game (Costumes, stages , weapons, etc) that I knew it was gonna be the facepalm of the century...Half complete AAA titles, nickel and dime skins , and "season" passes.
And so the exodus continues gentlemen, those seeking the promise land aka the Nassau of video games, will join the PC community due to piracy, because in this "final hour" of gaming, I'd like to know I wasn't swindled and smiling about it, I'd like to know I rebelled even in the slightest, against what are now corporations looking out for themselves.
In reality games are cheaper and more complete than they have ever been and if one gets released "broken" its usually fixed free of charge. Back in the day broken games were released and that was it, you owned a broken game.
While I agree there are some money grubbing practices that should be addressed, this idea that's shyt is just all fukked and unfair now, while everything was perfect then is just not true
