watching big bart pitch now

wish we brought him back sometime the past few years :mjcry:

seeing him pitch how he has been in his older years compared to when he came in is :mindblown:

although, with that said, his trade to the expos is one of the goat trade rapes. too bad we gave up on the franchise :shaq2:

A couple thoughts for this here opening day

Once again, I have not been this excited for baseball in some years. We have potential brehs. Thats without the pendents hyping us up. I mean, some of these cats have us power ranked #5 already. Im like hol'up. Let us prove something first. We still have a stacked Tigers, a rejuvenated Sox, and a familiar Royals team in our division

Im stuck here in the land of the Gigantes. It sucks cause I cant talk trash to these homos. They've lucked out and won 3 of the past 5...oh well

I know a lot of people dont feel this way but I think Kluber had a fluke year somewhat. I do not think his ERA will even be sub 3.50 this year. I think he will struggle a little bit. I think Salazars lack of development is going to hurt our rotation as well, we needed him to be further along than where he is. We will be carried by our rotation as a whole not being shyt but consistent.

I truly believe we will see a vast improvement with Michael Bourn. Our front 5 will be solid, here are my projections based on each player playing at least 150 games and staying healthy.

AVG HR RBI SB

1.Bourn .310 10 70 40
2.Kipnis .285 20 85 30
3.Brantley .320 20 110 25
4.Moss .280 35 130 5
5.Santana .265 30 110 5

That would result in 90+ wins

Even tho the projection didnt reflect it, I think Santana will continue to struggle and hit in the .240 range. But I have faith that Chisey will take a huge step forward again and make up for it. My only question is, how does that fukker Swisher do when he comes back. I know my views might not be shared by yall, but this is my opinion...

klubot wasn't a fluke!

I don't see Santana slumping that hard and long again I think a lot of it was due to position change, now he's settled. were on the same page with Bourn I'll bump that average down to the .290's though.

i think all those projections are optimistic :francis:

i dont have faith in the offense at all. we have too many SO machines (at least we dont have a Ricky GIDPtierrez on the squad). santana has disappointed the shyt out of me since his call-up. i thought he was gonna be vmart status with less avg and more power. swisher has also disappointed but i guess hes a good guy to have in the clubhouse and hopefully he can pop 20 hrs and have a somewhat respectable OBP :yeshrug:

kipnis should rebound, im a big fan of him. i agree kluber is more likely to regress than continue on what he did last year but i got faith in my fellow Hatter and sports management classmate :mjcry: he was a hardworker in college

i thought salazar was going to be a complete dynamo but his command has been disappointing. as long as he stays healthy he should show improvement though. never know..he could find his groove and be a beast this year. i feel like hes going to be a beast or bust this year.
