I got the chance to debate Shermer when I was in college because a professor of mine was buddies with him and our class was remotely relevant to his subject matter. The class agreed that I owned him even though I was a fool at 20 and most of them were even on his side ideologically. He's not very bright, just a pundit with a platform.

I saw that guy for the first time a month or so ago and he was awful, just repeating talking points straight from Trump's mouth. I had to look him up to try to figure out who he was and I still don't actually know why he gets a seat. It seems like his only qualification to be there is, "guy who will defend Trump."
Everyone says they don't like her. So she went undercover on campus...to record people saying they don't like her.
What exactly was she trying to prove other than that she really, really likes attention?

It was a science and religion class, but I legit don't remember what I was debating with Shermer at all. There were about 20-25 people in the class and only three of us were Christians, but even the atheists were unimpressed with Shermer's responses to me.
20 years later the feeling of getting the best of him lasted longer than the details of what actually went down.

He didn't get Trump elected, he doesn't have shooters out there trying to kill him, if he loses hundreds of thousands of dollars on events that repeatedly don't happen that's his own fault, he doesn't give a damn about "American values", and I doubt that his "Republican competitors" really have pull like that.
And how the hell did he have millions of dollars of his own money before "journalism"? From what?
