Call it anecdotal if you want but I didn't get covid until I stopped wearing a mask. I have had it twice since June. I have gone out less this last year than I did before yet still got it. I was out often before always masked and never got it. Common sense should tell you wearing a mask offers significant protection against something airborne. Stop this foolishness. Masks work.

no, they dont. and i never got covid, so i'll absolutely call yours anecdotal :mjlol:step your immune system up

look at your fukkin post. how are you touting masks in february 2023, and STILL don't know what the purpose was? :what: they were supposed to PREVENT expulsion of particles. its not even about your own self-protection :dead: if it was, there wouldnt have been mandates

Do you breh. But it is beyond ignorant to assume the answer to Covid is to "step your immune system up" You do know there are a myriad of reasons people have compromised immune systems. But you, like many others are cool with 15,000 Americans dying every month from something that could be mitigated with common sense. I know the science behind it but your intellectual insecurity prevents you from understanding. People who have lost family members don't want to hear bullshyt right wing talking points while many are still dying. You might want to temper your criticism on the subject matter and stop assuming you know about things you obviously don't know about.

Cochrane Library has gotten weird. They used to be highly respected, but even before Covid hit they were in turmoil. They published a finding about the "dangers of HPV vaccines" in 2018 that turned out to have significant ommissions and was mostly just good for pumping up anti-vaxxers. In the aftermath of that there was so much infighting that one board member was expelled and then 4 others resigned.

The main criticism of Cochrane seems to be that they weight experimental studies far higher than obeservation studies even when that might not be appropriate, that they include a lot of crappy studies in their evaluation without weighing their merits, and that they fail to account for when studies they use in their analysis are biased by the sponsors of the study.
