Agree. Interesting that you used the word survival. I was taught, and life reinforced the lesson ,that Black men have to be aware of surroundings and reality at all times. Our ability to thrive, survive, and even potential life/death moments are based on the ability to soberly assess what is actually happening, and determine how to move.

The ironic thing is AA are not replacing Whites. Our fertility is way down since 2008 and our share of the US population is remaining steady in all Census forecasts even with Black immigration.
