I mean where did all the anti-war protesters go? That tells me they are full of shyt because Obama pretty much spat in their face and continued killing terrorists and occupying foreign nations.

Code Pink has still been running around criticizing Obama's foreign policy but they don't get as much attention as they did during the Bush years. And Cindy Sheehan has been dooing exactly the same things during Obama's admin as she did during Bush's but it doesn't get reported as much.
Aside form those two though all the other protest movements have dried up and died since they were more interested in being Anti-Bush than Anti-war.

Here's the thing, what exactly was Obama supposed to change in foreign policy aside from approach and the decision-making process and spending?

Name specific changes he should have made. The prior administration made most of the foreign policy decisions for him. The Guantanomo thing is the only major fukk up really.

The biggest policy change is not committing men to the ground, but I doubt president bush would be doing that right now either.
