They're not, it's suppose to be a sequel to Arkham Knight. That Poison Ivy is some broad who took up the mantle after Pam died, same with Black Mask since Red Hood killed him.

This wasn't supposed to take place far in the future.


As far as BvS, its implied that what ever joker did to Robin drove batman into that crazed version of himself. He didnt go outta his way to kill, but he was at a point where he didn't give a fukk either.
