Thing with Pusha is that he knew he wasn’t popular enough to win with just barring him up. People would’ve just dismissed him as broke and irrelevant etc etc. Same like they did Joe Budden. Who actually smoked Drake worse than both. Pusha’s strategy was genius. He beat Drake at his own game. Came for all his weaknesses. And if there was any doubt. That nikka provided PROOF of everything he was saying. That’s why he won imo. This Kendrick shyt was different. They were more on an even playing field. I just feel Drake had the better bars in this battle if we going bar for bar. Kendrick outmaneuvered Drake tho. His strategy was better. But I def give Pusha more of a pass than Kendrick. Kendrick basically just used Pusha’s blueprint.

Better bars(that he didn't write) against everyone else except for Kendrick, The Weeknd got dissed the worst out of the people he was going at.

I could see 2 birds
But not duppy

what killed duppy was his delivery.
Like even that intro was corny

he had some bars on there. But his delivery was forced and made some of the bars sound cringe

Very relaxed would have maybe preferred a delivery like that 4pm in calabasas joint

But lyrically, even if it's more at ye, I think he was snapping

I can't see the gif but yk what I was gonna say bro lol..can appreciate his rapping ability but not a huge fan of push as an artist tbh. Though he's grown on me through his past albums and definitely excited to hear the clipse/Pharrell collab.

I swear Kendrick done created a new rapping style. He literally outbarred Drake before he even releases his tracks :wow:

The Prince Outlives Mike Jack, making a direct reference to constitutional law was genius, and Drake fell for it :dead:
Drake slaughtered him on fm and alot of the bars went over your head

Only a dumbass would say otherwise :dead:

That's cause Drake stans argue like women, they'll ignore the point of a something, point out something else irrelevant to the overall point of your statement, twist it to their narrative, bring up something from the past, then say they won the argument while never addressing the main topic. It's high key hilarious

I feel like this doesn't get mentioned enough. Push did what Dot did across 4.5 songs in like half a verse and he turned the beat he was using into a diss.

Way more vicious and innovative.

It's why nobody dissing Jay after Ether dropped ever really made noise, it wasn't respected as much in that era.

Not saying Dot shouldn't get any credit, he took the W. But he had Interscope behind him, Push did it dolo and legit had the entire Drake machine back down and take the L.
