So the beef begins wit Suge Andre Harrell and a young puff, then evolves to puff and Suge after the atl incident…but the gang ties that Von zip created for bad boy really began with Andre Harrell I believe ….but regardless Suge was the reason, Von zip didn’t act on those ties to SSCC to provide random security, nah it was for security for a specific entity they were familiar with, MOB Piru….because that’s the threat that Suge was usin, his gang ties.

What are y'all even arguing about? This shyt has been discussed to death. Being a gang member as an entertainer isn't really the same as being an actual gang member.

Pac and Death Row were embroiled in the gang culture because they were situated in the west coast. If you grew up in the 80s and 90s you know that LA gang culture was way different from the whole country. Death Row being in the midst of it would naturally gravitate towards it. You don't gotta put a label on pac and argue if he was or wasn't an actual gangbanger. He was a multi millionaire and his head got too big.

The beef started with music and envy between death row and bad boy as they were on opposite sides of the fence dueling for the biggest label in music at a time when rap was reaching its peak arguably. It's that simple.

The gang element at death row was always there though. For bad boy it was a bit different as new york were never repping colours or sets like that. Naturally Bad Boy's pride was hurt they had to get protection everytime they went to LA as they couldn't avoid it since that's the center/mecca of entertainment worldwide. Also don't forget hiring local gang protection is just another form of extortion that's understood. It don't gotta mean that big or puff were repping the set.

We all know the rest of the story and how it played out. Naturally the beef evolved to going from a bunch of studio gangsters exchanging words to getting gang associates to do the dirty work on both sides of the equation and score points for each camp. But make no mistake it was hip hop beef first.

As far as LA gang politics go them nikkas were beefin way before pac and big. Bloods and crips have had a thing since the 70s.
