boxdens lay out is ass, and the mods are awful
ign? lol
ktt is a bunch of hipsters who call everything they don't like "trash" and "dusty" (altho sometimes there's some good discussion), but 9/10 times if someone posts a thread with an artist that is relatively new, its mostly shyt talk. unless it's kanye, jay z, wayne, lil b, asap mob, ofwg, eminem, and black hippy stuff a lot of artists get shytted on.
i remember a juicy j thread and the amount of post sayin "he's trash" had memost there posters HAVE to be under 19
Keeping it real though, the quality of hip-hop conversation in the booth is trash. It is pretty much just about dikkriding/hating/gossiping about popular rappers. It's great for trolling and fukkery, but there is very little in the way of substantive conversation about hip-hop. It's all about coalescing around consensus majoritarian opinion. I only come to this part of the forum for jokes and fukkery.
Nah see the thing with KTT is, that they have a corny community. All of their threads remind me of a Youtube comment section. Even though they're passionate and I guess "influential", their not very knowledgeable and they're all pretty young. And there's a whole lot of white people/Euros there pretending to be black.
Boxden deserves its props cuz they have a knowledgeable, grown community and above all else, they're not cornyThe rest of the forums I've never been on
Boxden seems to have absorbed all of the posters from the once huge, now-defunct message board SOHH/ProjectCovo, and has become the top destination to discuss music, sports, news and culture from a hip-hop perspective.
