But Americans will still say football/soccer is boring :skip:

Ohhh its too low scoring... yeah, that's cause people actually play defence. Not even that low scoring when you consider some American sports add lots of points for one score. If football was like your football where one score = 6 points then football games would finish like 18-12 and suddenly y'all would love it :mjlol:

"The lion's share of camera time, about 75 minutes worth, is devoted to players standing around on the field. Getting up after a tackle. Jogging back to the line of scrimmage (loping if you're Randy Moss). Huddling up before the next play. When you watch football, this is what you're mostly watching."

This is why NFL players get owned whenever they face Rugby players.
What do you mean by that?

Not even surprising.

The craziest thing I heard recently though was that NBA Basketball averages a stop in action every 40 seconds because of all the whistles/clock stoppages and timeouts. That's crazy and I'm sure throws off a lot of pacing. We rarely ever get a full minute of straight NBA play without an interruption of some kind.

Part of me thinks it's because the league doesn't want games to be too quick and if that's the case, then they should increase downtime between quarters rather than disrupt action.
