I've been using it for the past two years and I'm currently happy with it. They have a sale pretty much every week (I grabbed the complete Avengers vs. X-Men for £6.99, during the week Endgame was released). Only bad thing about it is I'm from the UK and ComiXology Unlimited is not available for my region.

Anyone here also use ComiXology? What do you think about it? Are there any other/better digital comics services? Or can anyone recommend others that I can use in conjunction with ComiXology?

(p.s. - I know there's probably sites you can download comics for free, but I'm strictly talking about legal sites.)

fukk what that other dude talmbout. I'm 100% digital, and will never go back (except in cases where I want something signed).

fukk I look like carrying 50 comics and trades on a plane when I can read them on whatever device I want? fukk is this--1987? :scust: And I'm damn sure not going into another fukking comic shop, so I can hear some fat, smelly neckbeard CAC rant about 'SJWs' and 'forced diversity.' :camby:

Anyway, to answer OP's question, most of the digital comics services are US-only, but there's

DC Universe
Marvel Unlimited
Hoopla

Hoopla is free with your library card, but it has a limit on how many titles you can check out (8-10, depending on your local library). DC Universe finally got its shyt together and is adding the majority of its library to the service, but it's still excluding several imprints (Vertigo, Black Label, popular books like Watchmen and Dark Knight Returns).

:yeshrug: Captain Marvel has been forced down pur thoroats and Cyborg is trash because of this "affirmative action" shyt in DC/Marvel.

They just have to use woke buzzwords and not actually put talent behind these titles and they get a pass.

I'd rather just directly support black artists than think I got a win because some white characters' legacy was passed down like they are their Daddy :dame:."

Cyborg realy dissappointed me because I tries to support both runs but they were horrible.

no.

I actually bought all the Hellboy omnibus on sale.

I don't mind paying for digital comics, there's less room taken up at my place. Plus, the legal digital comics usually are of the latest edition (e.g. 30th anniversary edition of Sandman is being released on ComiXology). Sometimes illegal downloads don't have the latest copies. Every now and again, I'll go for the physical, like the new Berserk 3-in-1 volume hardback and the new Fullmetal Alchemist hardback.

Doing some googling, I found out that Marvel Unlimited is available to people in Europe. I've created a Marvel account, but haven't signed up to Marvel Unlimited, so I don't know if people from the UK can gain access to it. However, ComiXology has pretty much has the same library as Marvel Unlimited (the site where you can purchase digital comics from looks similar to ComiXology). So, there's no point in using in conjunction with ComiXology. Probably the same thing with DC Universe. Hoopla isn't available in the UK.

I've been using Comixology for about a good five years now, and have been subscribed to Unlimited for the last two, I think.

It's one of the best deals in comics from my standpoint. The Unlimited library has been invaluable solely off of the volume of shyt they rotate in and out. I've gotten into a bunch of stuff I normally wouldn't have read, or heard about (Thief of Thieves :ohlawd:), or caught up on stuff easily without having to track down TPBs (Manhattan Projects, for example).

You also get an extra 10% off everything, including stuff already on sale.

I really, really wish I could buy more physical copies since that's what I prefer, but the only shops near me are essentially toy stores that happen to sell comics, with the better ones being a decent 20-30 minute drive away, assuming there's no traffic.

And even then, like mentioned in another post, those shops are unwelcoming as fukk. Tons of complaining about "SJW nonsense" because comics aren't just white dudes and half naked how's anymore, flooded shelves of big two comics and TPBs, and maybe just the most popular stuff from Image (which I understand, they gotta stock what makes money), amongst other issues. Most times, even though I miss the feeling of rolling in, spending an hour picking up my shyt I knew I wanted, and maybe some old shyt I've never seen, it's just easier to hit Comixology.

Are you talking about the Cyborg rebirth comics? I've read the first volume and it wasn't bad. Are the following volumes any good?

What do you think about Kamala Khan?

Thanks for the response.

One of the reasons I wanted ComiXology Unlimited is because I can gain access to long running series. Like Marvel have what they call Master Works, where have they old issues collected together all the from the 60s or 70s. They've got quite a lot of them and it'll be expensive buying each one.

Does ComiXology Unlimited have a vast collection? Does it include a lot of long running volumes (i.e. Walking Dead)?

They've had a couple issues of Masterworks roll in and out. Those collections are invaluable for reading up on great past runs. Those are on sale more often than they come through Unlimited, though.

They've got some long running series on there too. For example, they've got the first 10 volumes of The Walking Dead on there right now.

For the big two, they usually focus on full storylines. They just dropped the Infinity Countdown collection from last summer a couple months ago.

Another perk is that any comics you buy in Kindle format on Amazon automatically get added to your Comixology library. They don't come around anywhere near as often, but Amazon comics sales are absolutely insane. They had one last year with a bunch of Marvel TPBs for $.99, or something like that.

Got the Director's Cut version of The Vision for $4. :wow:

I see, thanks for the info.

Is The Vision comic the one where he tries to have a normal life with his family (haven't read it yet)? If it is, I bought the two volumes for £2.49 each.

Yeah, that's the one. It's pretty good. It's interesting to see Tom King working with that character vs some of his current work.
