North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
The key to the offense is the oline giving Romo time, Dez taking that step and Murray staying healthy
Defensively if Lee and Carter can stay healthy, the Safeties play solid, and Spencer can play even 80% of how he did last season we'll be strong

If the offensive line stays healthy it won't matter who is running. I think all the backs got talent, they just never had any runny lanes at all.

I'm excited about Romo having more control over play calling, everytime he did it last season we moved the ball easily..our oline still concerns me though, yea we drafted a center but our oline was horrible and needed more than just a center
i agree on both points. the fact that doug free still has the inside track to the starting left tackle position is an abomination.

The whole we corps need to cement their status. And Dez is the least of my worries out of that group.

Coaching staff need to be on they shut And make the positive differences in the game, not the negative ones.

I just hope Dez doesn't pull a Miles Austin but we all know he is way more talented then that. Dez should be consistent like Mike Irvin and T.O. While Miles should be Terry Glenn. I agree about the whole wr corp stepping up in general. As long as the O-line is solid solo and we have a consistent running game, the offense should be fine. I'm curious about the new look defense though.

Dez and Miles should be the best tandem in the league if Miles played like he did before he got the contract.

Not to mention Ernie Simms having to set the defense instead of Carter and Danny fukking Mcray starting. Foreskins should have demolished us at home and we were one I'll advised throw away from a comeback. Regardles, Austin and Dez were out and Harris was our number 1 so Winning in the long run wouldn't have meant shyt only to get stomped by Seattle the following week

Frederick gonna get some time at guard. Our oline situation is still buns as far as I'm concerned. Free took a paycut so maybe this will force him to play better especially with Parnell taking some of his playingtime. Sean Lee will flourish in this scheme but I do worry about the Wear n Tear on Demarcus Ware. Also ina Tampa 2 you need really fast DBS and linebackers that an get to the ball quick and DBS have to force turnovers with their tackles a la Tillman ans the Chicago Bears. I'm not sold on Carr or Claibourne being able to do that.

With Romo having more offensive input means possibly more no huddle which was where we were very successful last year. This is a contract year for Dez so I'm expecting 15 Tds 1400 yards. Murray needs to stay healthy and hopefully the zone blocking scheme can generate even the slightest hole.

Jerry sucks as a GM and I hate the culture he's created at valley ranch with no accountability but I feel like thisis the year players take it upon themselves to do better. Expecting an 11-5 year brehs
We need to draft Ware's potential replacement next year. Honestly I think Spencer is better than him at this point. Spencer was the best OLB in the league vs the run the past two years. He's really come into his own the past few seasons. One of the big reasons I like the move to the 4-3 is that it will take some wear and tear off our linebackers who cam seem to stay healthy. Carter was a misfit in the 3-4 IMO. He will flourish on the weakside and show more of his playmaking abilities.

It's do or die time for my Cowboys. I'm tired of people shytting on my team like we are one of the worst franchises in NFL history. We ran the 70's and 90's and I know we will get back to that level again. But I won't make excuses for our team the past few years. We have underachieved and shouldn't even be in a position to win and get in at the end of the season. If we don't get in the playoffs this year then Garrett and Romo has to go. I'm a fan of Tony cuz I remember the days of having Quincy Carter and Testaverde back there. but it usually starts with the QB when a team doesn't do what they are supposed to do. I'm still not sold on the offensive line and I know that it needs to be improved. But hopefully they surprise me and have a nice season on the line.

i agree with a lot of what you said but barring a catastrophic season, i dont see either romo or garrett going anywhere. fact is, jerry is comfortable working with both and romo just signed a nice big contract. i'm not a big romo fan but i'll admit that the defense has been sub par during his tenure. if that changes this yr then you'll see a big difference in the record.

Yeah he seems to have a huge man crush on Garrett for some reason. But if we go 8-8 or worse this year than Jason has got to go. Even if he's not coaching for his job, Jerry should make him think he is.

I am probably in the minority when it comes to thinking Quincy Carter was not so atrocious and could have been better if he had more weapons, got a hold of his addiction, and had a longer leash. At least he had a better defense. Y'all talking about Carter and Testaverde, don't forget Cunningham, Clint Stoerner, Ryan Leaf, Tony Banks, Anthony Wright, Drew Henson, and Drew Bledsoe (Bledsoe would have funeral arrangements on the field if he played behind the 2012 o-line). Damn those were some bleak times after Lavar Arrington ended Aikman's career. Truth be told, the rb position has been disappointing after Emmitt as well.

After seeing our draft it's hard for me to be excited for this season to be honest.........Maybe Monte Kiffin gets our defense on the right track tho.

First Practice Tweets:

Brandon George ‏@dmn_george

No sign of Danny Coale's crutches yet. Still looking

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins 1m
Joseph Randle getting some run now. Nice run and then he caught a pass out of the backfield.

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez 1m
Garrett is watching the offense. Callahan setting the script but Garrett asks, 'Repeat of Play 2 please,' and it's done.
Justin Durant is the first SAM.

Clarence Hill ‏@clarencehilljr 54s
First sighting of joseph Randle. And he looks fast

Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus 57s
Nice catch out of the backfield by Randle going to his right. Able to adjust on the move. One of his strengths is catching the ball.

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 47s
Tony Romo, who couldn't do normal offseason conditioning routine due to surgery to remove cyst from back, is listed at 236 pounds.

Carlos A. Mendez ‏@calexmendez 16m
Holloman, Magee and Reed trying to get some shadow work in behind the 1s. Mental reps. pic.twitter.com/YaynoenIWn
Kiffin, Marinelli and Henderson running scout offense for 2s. Monte is the QB. Stationary.
Walk through has a lot of the look of last year. Complete with mid-session team huddle around Garrett. But Callahan running show with Romo.

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher 14m
Joseph Randle on practice field for first time. Missed offseason with thumb injury
Jason Garrett might need Segway with way he's roaming around practice field from unit to unit.
Interesting to me: QBs wearing wristbands in practice. Haven't seen that here before.

Rowan Kavner ‏@KavnerDC 14m
Ratliff the only defensive players not on the field for the walkthrough
A lot of James Hanna in early 12 personnel

Tim MacMahon ‏@espn_macmahon 13m
Monte Kiffin is getting after the D during walkthrough. "Goldang it, that's what I'm talking about!" Not quite same vocabulary as Rob Ryan.

David Moore ‏@DavidMooreDMN 10m
Kevin Kowalaki and David Arkin working at G with starters out. First round pick Travis Frederick is the C.

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins 8m
Jason Garrett talks to the troops. pic.twitter.com/BUMIrcCyyq
I have not seen Joseph Randle get any run during the walkthrough.

Clarence Hill ‏@clarencehilljr 8m
Hanna going first at tight end with Witten
Romo first pass a slant to Terrence Williams
First fumble snap between romo and Frederick

Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus 8m
Allen and Church at the safeties. Lissemore is taking Hatcher's spot at the nose as he shifts to the under tackle. Bass + Hayden are the 2s
Don't ever remember Romo wearing a wrist band with the play calls on it. Matter of fact all the QBs are wearing them.

Brandon George ‏@dmn_george 1m
We have our first fumbled snap of walk through between Tony Romo and new C Travis Frederick.
Boy, Tony Romo has really benefited from running mountains. Laser passes so far.

Brad Sham ‏@Boys_Vox 5m
Hear us ( w @Spags52 ) tonight on Training Camp Today on FSN: get settled on Gs who are healthy & play 'em. Plus a DL talks about no Ratliff

Tom Orsborn ‏@tom_orsborn 48s
Romo looks just fine. Of course, according to Jerry, it won't matter if he's behind "a porous line," which he has now with all the injuries.

Todd Archer ‏@toddarcher 1m
First team OL - Smith Kowalski Frederick Arkin Free.

Calvin Watkins ‏@calvinwatkins 1m
Sean Lissemore has replaced Ratliff on the first-team defense at DT.

Yes, Tony Romo is throwing at Camp #Cowboys pic.twitter.com/M8mHbq1DD6

Bryan Broaddus ‏@BryanBroaddus 1m
First 12 Personnel Group has Witten and Hanna on it. Romo already playing with the hard counts.

Dunbar getting the reps with the ones behind Murray during this period. Tanner on scout defense with Randle.
