I wasn't alive during Nixon era but he died when I was in middle school and I saw the Oliver Stone/Anthony Hopikins Bio pic "Nixon" in the mid-90's. I guess it all comes full circle. The Clinton House Impeachment was partisan and pointless which is why it didn't get through the Senate. Trump will either be impeached or resign like Nixon.

According to the article it's "according to a close associate of Mr. Comey".
It doesn't actually say who that is so I'd probably take it as speculation right now.

I could see it being true. I don't think Comey trusts people like Sen. Grassley. That may be why he keeps insisting that Comey is telling him that President isn't a target, when he probably is. He knows as soon as he says anything it's going to be leaked to White House.
