Comedy is subjective I know but got damn. Eric Andre's stand up on Netflix is horrendous

This was horrendous. I made it about 5 minutes from when he gets on stage. I've seen some clips from the show and his act works better in that context with props and shyt.

How do I get this shyt off currently watching?

He actually opened for Chris Rock in 2017 in New Orleans (it was the night Chappelle made a special guest appearance and him and Rock did the show together ) and he surprised me how funny he was that night.

I even was in Seattle last year and randomly was at a store where he and two white chicks was at. He was behind me and my gf in line and my gf told him we enjoyed his standup that night in 2017 and he was cool.

So I watched this off the strength of those two experiences and yeah...his shyt is def an acquired taste lol.

Got damn, I can be a stand up comedian.

He's an acquired taste generally speaking, but he's also one of those guys whose schtick doesn't translate well to stand up specials. For one thing, his act stops being funny if it goes on for more than like 25 minutes. An hour of it is damn near intolerable even for someone like me who liked his show. Secondly, the funniest thing about the show is the reactions from the guests and how Hannibal plays off him, so him being up there on stage alone is a big detriment for him.
