I think he was satirizing the host set in 10 seconds trying to say the host’s set was too stereotypical and the crowd wouldn’t call him out on it because he’s Asian(duh) so he did some stereotypes to get called out on the low hanging fruit.
That's what I guessed as well. We would've had to have seen what happened before and after to get the proper context. Unless, the Asian comedian comes out in Tony's defense, Tony's about to get "canceled" from everything. 20 years later when everyone has forgotten at Tony's doing well, this video will resurface and Tony will get canceled all over again.
Even the David Alan Grier clip posted here from over 20 years ago is enough to get David Alan Grier canceled today. I wish that comedy would remain as the last "safe space" for "crossing the line", but in recent years, Comedy gets overly policed as well.
All that being said, we'd need to see the whole show to really know what was going on. In the clip, Tony was 0% funny, but I'm sure that he must've had some funny stuff in the rest of his set.
