Seen on nfl.com we signed former Atl TE Hayden Hurst to a one year deal. Seems like a downgrade from Uzomah, but maybe him and Burrow can develop good chemistry. Be curious to see if we draft a TE as well.

Man at this point I kind of want a good blocker like gronk but the ability to catch and make plays I think we should go for a TE late continue to build the line. Then defense

2022 NFL free agency: Latest league news from Friday, March 18

The Chicago Bears are not signing defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi due to a failed physical, the team announced. The Bears and Ogunjobi agreed to a three-year, $40.5 million contract earlier this week, but the former Bengals defender is coming off foot surgery, which impacted his medical review. "As I said before, Larry Ogunjobi embodies everything we are looking for in a Bear," Chicago general manager Ryan Poles said in a statement Friday. "He is a special person and player. During the league's negotiating window earlier this week, we agreed to terms with him, subject to him passing a physical here. After a standard and thorough physical and medical review with Larry yesterday afternoon, our medical team deemed him to have failed his physical and therefore, unfortunately, we are not signing him today. This is difficult and it is emotional for everyone involved, but ultimately is what is in the best interest of protecting the Chicago Bears." Following the news of Ogunobi's failed physical, the Bears reached a two-year deal with defensive tackle Justin Jones, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

What a waste Drew Sample was/is. Him and Ross were obvious bad choices.

I think Hurst will be a good TE for pass catching. If we sign Collins we can draft best available rather than lineman hunt

Appleman is back again.

2022 NFL free agency: Latest league news from Saturday, March 19

The Cincinnati Bengals' bid to repeat as AFC champions will include Eli Apple.

The Bengals announced Saturday that they re-signed Apple to a one-year contract.

Apple started 15 games and recorded two interceptions in his first season in Cincinnati after spending the previous year with the Carolina Panthers.

Not the most exciting news, but if he plays to his A-game he'll be beneficial for us. Should look to get some CB depth in the draft though.

We got our new right tackle!

Bengals finalizing agreement with former Cowboys OT La'el Collins

Departing Dallas and arriving in Cincinnati, La'el Collins will be the latest addition to the Bengals' rebuilt offensive line.

The Bengals are finalizing an agreement with the former Cowboys offensive tackle, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport reported Sunday.

With a clear offseason onus of improving the offensive line in front of franchise quarterback Joe Burrow, the Bengals pounced on Collins once he became a free agent.

Hours removed from Collins' release, it was reported he would be visiting the Bengals, and he's staying. In fact, the veteran was scheduled to leave town Sunday for another visit but the two sides struck a deal before Collins departed, Garafolo noted.

After adding free-agent guards Alex Cappa and Ted Karras from the Buccaneers and Patriots, respectively, Cincinnati is upgrading on the exterior of the line. Collins will likely man one of the tackle spots along with 2019 first-round draft pick Jonah Williams.

The Cowboys released Collins on Thursday in a cost-saving move, parting ways with him after seven years.

Sensational in the running game and solid as a pass protector, Collins' largest struggle has been staying on the field. He missed all of 2020 with a hip injury that required surgery and then was absent five games in 2021 due to a suspension.

If Collins, who garnered an 82.0 Pro Football Focus grade in 2021, is available and healthy in his age-29 season, he could prove to be a hugely important signing for the reigning AFC champions.

Chea! Burrow should be better off this year than last.
