bu, bu, bu Brock can't talk. .. dude can talk just fine when he has points to hit.

Him yelling ranting and raving like he did after he beat Frank Mir wouldn't work in a WWE setting, that monotone almost bored tone works because a cat that talks like that generally has done all the horrible things he's telling you about in his promo so he isn't yelling because he doesn't need to do so to further his point. They've got my interest going for this feud Punk would gain so much from losing than winning IMO.

on a non kayfabe setting I don't think Punk himself would lie and tell you he wouldn't get mauled if Brock had an issue with him

Nobody wants any parts of Brock Lesnar. For as much criticism as The Dwayne got for his Mania runs Brock has done much worse (not that I personally mind any one of them), but Brock couldn't have made it any clearer that he's here to get a check and dares somebody to say something about it. So far we haven't heard a peep out of ANYONE. Meltzer can't even come up with a "may or may not have happened until further notice things could change" type of rumor about anybody calling Lesnar anything other than a child of God.

No, you said that "Punk would probably beat the shyt out of Lesnar" (direct quote from this thread), then backed down and said that he had a chance. As in a fighting chance. And then proceeded to being up worked matches and people beating Vader's ass as support for your position. I wrote that to show that even your reduced position has zero basis in reality based on the evidence that we know of. To say that you said what I said means that you're backing down from even your reduced position, since nothing I wrote resembles using worked matches to support the position of Punk having a legitimate chance to beat Lesnar in a fight, nor does it resemble you equating Punk to Cain Velasquez.

I repeated nothing that you said. You're simply saying that to protect yourself from the fact that you made a ludicrous argument.

Worked matches? I brought up an example of Vader getting floored in a real life incidence. Equating Punk to Cain? That was to demonstrate that Brock is not very receptive to getting punched(which you should know being an MMA guy) so if Punk were to get a nice shot in since he has some kickboxing/muy thai training he could probably take it to Brock. That was in no way intended to say Punk is on Cain level. I've seen stranger shyt happen in mismatched fights(both combat and real life) Of course 9/10 out of time Brock would win so I will agree on the edit of my OP(which I admit I worded poorly) But Punk would have a chance, which you did say in your last last post.

OK...

1. You brought that up, but you also brought up Vader/Hansen like it was a real, legit fight upon which we could make conclusions about real fighting ability. Bringing up Vader in any event and comparing him to Brock is kind of ridiculous to begin with, because Vader folded like a house of cards in real life confrontation against pretty much anybody.

2. Brock eating strikes from Cain Velasquez, Shane Carwin, and Alistair Overeem is completely different from eating strikes from CM Punk. At the very least, those men have been training striking longer than Punk has had a WWE career (I said as long as Punk had a wrestling career, but Cain joined AKA in 2004 or so. My mistake). Do we even know what Punk's legitimate striking credentials are? He probably has a bit of training, but nothing like them. And don't get me started on the force behind those blows (Punk's about 200 lbs. legit right now). I'm not trying to be sizeist or anything, but size is only negated by a pretty superior skill level on the part of the smaller man. Punk doesn't have that.

3. I said that Punk had roughly the same chance at beating Lesnar in a legit fight as I had at tapping a 3rd degree BJJ black belt. Which basically equates to having so miniscule of a chance you might as well call it having no chance at all, short of a total fluke. And even total flukes need to have SOME equalizing factor in there (skill vs. size, the more skilled fighter not being attentive or not caring, something). Basing this on what I know of their personalities and skill sets, I just don't see that equivalence existing in a fight between Punk and Lesnar.

I'm going to repeat this again: Punk would have a "chance" at beating Lesnar, but that chance is so miniscule it amounts to having no chance at all. That's what I meant (and wrote in other posts) when I said that he has a "chance."

Lesnar needs to win this match...he can't head into Mania against Taker or somebody as a loser of this caliber.

In a real life situation, Brock Lesnar would snatch up Punk by his legs and drop him on his cranium. Simple as that. Wouldn't even last 30 seconds. That would happen if Punk faced most amateur wrestler types(Haas, Angle, Benjamin, etc).

Lol at guys on here buying Punk's muay thai gimmick in ECW as reality. No one in WWE even has a fluke chance against Brock. Santino and Alberto Del Rio fought largely low level MMA, RVD was a kickboxing trainee in the 80s, Big Show was a boxing trainee 5 years ago. Jack Swagger was an all american wrestler. None of them could even get Brock in a fluke situation of any kind. Kurt Angle or Shelton of a decade ago could possibly wrestle with him. Otherwise? No.

This i agree with you on, there is no way that could be believable that Punk could take Lesner out, maybe if he used brass knuckles or had a chain rapped around his fist but wrestling him in a fair 1 on 1 noway.

I'm gonna be honest, I feel like if Punk tried to punch Brock as hard as he could Brock wouldn't even feel it.

CM Punk has no muscle defintion, he's skinny, and no real fighting training. The guy was a nerd throughout High School, and looks like he got beat up everyday. I mean I know kids that went to my high school, looked like him, and what happened to them. Punk acts tough.

But a guy like Taz acted like a tough guy too, and there 800 stories about him getting his ass handed to him by EVERYONE.
