They are fukking with the ORIGIN story. They are changing it. It's not even certain that he's going to be bitten by a Spider. The wrestling match part is gone. They are introducing Mommy and Daddy issues. Giving his father some sort of secretive freak background.
They are using mechanical shooters. I know there are big fans of the mechanical shooters out there BUT it's actually easier for me to suspend my disbelief when it's a genetic mutation...it's fukking Spiderman for God's sake......but to believe that some 16 year old kid made material that strong out of his bedroom? That's much harder to believe.
They should have skipped the origin completely. Jumped right in.

It will be lucky if it clears 68% on RottenTomatoes. People will still go see it in droves though....regardless of how much it sucks.
