Richt has underachieved with a few teams (2008's preseason #1 is the most recent), but for the most part he's coached em up & this yr's Dawgs team should be one of his best. Let's revisit this comment at the end of the season.
As for the thread title, Ball State in Week 2
I think it'll be a fairly even matchup without Sammy. Just my opinion. This '12 team won't look much like the '11 in experience, strategy, or style of play. Clemson's O is still obviously explosive but I think we've got the depth this year to stay with them.
I'm just saying, I don't expect a repeat of last year.

Equal this yr, equal distance from ATL, same nickname...main difference is Auburn is much more of a corrupt instution (they're pay to play schemes for their players are impressive tho

The offense is still too explosive. Sammy isnt the only good reciever. Nuke Hopkins is damn good, as is Jaron Brown. Martavis Bryant and Charone Peake are two names you will know by the end of the season, especially Martavis

Clemson is going to try and run an assload of plays like we used to with Malzahn. I think VanGorder is going to be a lot more aggressive than that bum Roof was in attacking the frontlines though.
