I can see where he might be coming from. Jacoby has three years on his rookie deal making less than $1M/per year. Garoppolo is going to be a free agent after the season and Brady is still going to be the starter, so they're either going to have to sign him long-term, franchise him, or lose him for nothing.
They could have just signed a guy like Kerley and gotten the same/more production that Dorsett has given them.
