i saw it, its pretty interesting, they don't bother explaining everything, just giving bits and pieces of their past, but obviously, they both got problems. I like it. It wasn't too heavy, and it clearly could have been. Typical talented yet troubled white girl with typical flyover american trust fund meathead. The film leaves it to your imagination what happened so you fill in the blanks on your own, but ultimately, there is no reason to feel bad about the outcome. I give it 4 out of 5.

Sudeikis is the star of this film. He is so damn good in this. His turn halfway through the film was
love to see him tackle more serious films.
I thought the allegory was a little on the nose personally but I still dug it.
The film felt a little rushed at times for me,and the concept was kind of sloppy in execution but the lead performances more than make up for it.

what is this shyt about?....i'll probably check it out eventually, but curious why it wasnt what you expected....going off the trailer, to me it just seems the monster will be a representation of her actions/emotions/etc, basically being her, hence the reason she's in control of it....
