I don't doubt the 'black market' will still be around. it's how many people are used to doing it. plus people will be able to grow their own. they also need to figure out the licensing to grow large amounts intended for legal sale. but over time most people will probably just go to the store

Colorado intends to tax it hard. They are estimating $24 million in tax revenue. The black market is going to thrive.

They are paying a lot of money, now, to get it transported in through speed boats, man-made tunnels into San Diego, small loads in border crossings, etc.. They would be better off, from a logistical and financial standpoint, to utilize existing transportation methods to move large cargo.

The black market for tobacco is thriving. You just don't always hear about it. And this is the sale of untaxed tobacco products, e.g. Marlboros that get purchased wholesale in one state and then transported to another state where it is sold untaxed. It is not home-grown or imported tobacco.
Alcohol isn't thriving. The taxed alcohol is better than untaxed homemade alcohol. Totally different, like I said apples to oranges.
I doubt that. Tijuana to San Diego is a major channel. Just dap yourself and call it a day.

I used to know people that would drive to Foxwoods (indian res/casino) to get untaxed cigs. bodegas with bootleg/dubious/loosie cigs. but most people just go to the local gas station or whatever
I agree the black market for trees will still be around. like I said, people are used to it. there will also be a lot less heat on it. I kinda experienced that in cali, where I got most of my trees 'black market'. but the black market is never gonna have a selection like a legal market. weed man got one tree. maybe if he's really bout it, he got a few. the dispensary got cheap shyt, expensive shyt, a zip of shake, mix-match zip, a menu of flavors, different kinds of hash/keef, edibles made by legit pastry chefs (not the burnt pot-brownies your homie made). people like all that shyt
