I was referring to the use of religion in the broader sense as to help explain many aspects of life on earth, for those who choose to engage in it.
I wouldn't suggest it. Quite the opposite actually.
I understand what you mean. Throughout the ages, organized religion has been a damaging tool in many ways.
What I meant was life on this earth can be VERY difficult at times. Humans often need comfort beyond the physical. Plugging into religious beliefs has helped many people carry on through harsh circumstances.
I believe in God and have studied various texts across countless religions and I choose to go more spirit based, directly to the Father, though I was raised Catholic. In my subsequent response to one of the gentlemen above, I said we need God and science for balance in this world. I never said religion. The nature of life of earth makes it necessary for structure though and religion can provide that for most.
