Higher education isn't for everyone
I think part of the problem is that folks are always changing their minds about what they want to do
They get liberal arts degrees in fields that they ultimately don't stick to
You have to have a plan from the beginning
I was a business major from the day I stepped foot on my college campus...I worked in my field, gained valuable experience, networked, and ascended to executive level after 12 yrs
Most ppl treat their careers as jobs and don't really get ahead, it's simply a 9 to 5 to them
Imagine getting $100k in student loans and just clocking in 9 to 5 everyday without making a substantial investment in your own career progression
I can identify the career climbers right away, the hunger, the motivation, the drive....you can't simply expect a degree to get you to the top
It's a journey and a degree is only one part of it
