Not really thought he was gonna be a beast in the league but hype behind Dennis Johnson coming outta HS was crazy in 97-98. Same with Robert Gillespie coming into college. Dude had one of the coldest tapes I ever saw for a RB recruit @malbaker86 @TheGreatShowtime

I use to think Rocket Ismail was gonna be that nikka in the league

Add Quentin Coryatt, Steve Emtman and Erick Andersen (Michigan) to that list

Because he went to my high school...High School to College: Derrick Williams. He was the #1 player in the class of 2005. Great freshman season that was cut short due to injury and then he never really did anything after that. He somehow still got drafted in the 3rd round despite running a 4.55 at the combine. Got waived after 2 seasons and then couldn't even make it in the CFL. :francis:

College to NFL: Dwayne Jarrett. Only 1 receiving touchdown in 4 seasons. This was a 2-time All American :francis:

Wasn't his initial reason for retiring was to join a ministry? Then next thing you know he got arrested a couple times, then dude lands in the military :dahell:

One of the strangest retirement/ transition to regular life stories I ever read about.

-Dezmon Briscoe=watched him dominate a game(catch a couple bombs and return a punt for a TD) in one college game and thought he would be take the league by storm.don't think he really got a fair shake to show his stuff but didn't work out:usure:
-Matt Lienart =thought he would be a golden boy face of the league qb and was suprised his game didn't translate
Matt Barkley-see Matt Lienart)
-Mike Williams(USC)=thought he would be another Megatron but he was more like Joe Jurevicius :francis:
-Macho Harris=explosive standout/All ACC corner i knew just one be a borderline Pro Bowler/All Pro for years but career in the league was a footnote
-David Wilson=thought he would be the next Tiki Barber but injuries and Tom Caclin benching him for rookie mistakes ended his career before it reall took off
-is it to earley to list Jadeveon Clowney:patrice:

Man, I forgot all about Robert Gillespie. I'll do you one better and add Earnest Graham to the list. He was splitting carries with Gillespie. Earnest Graham eventually had a good run as a FB/RB in Tampa later in his pro career.
