didn't realize the women's conf tourneys were already underway. in classic Pac12 fashion they have probably the most anticipated conf tournament outside of the SEC and all the games been on the bullshyt Pac12 network. Gonna miss the league but they couldn't get out of their own way the past decade.

Lady Terps just wiped the floor with #4 OSU. If they were on the bubble, they're off it now. Might even escape the First Four.

Would love to see them get another shot at Clark and Iowa. Played 'em fairly tough last meeting.

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple University will review reports that show at least one game involving its men's basketball team has been flagged by gambling watchdog company U.S. Integrity for unusual betting activity.

The betting line for Thursday night's game between Temple and UAB surged from the Blazers opening as a 2-point favorite to the spread reaching as high as 8 points, per tracking website Covers.com. UAB covered the spread with a 100-72 win at Temple.

"We are aware of the media reports regarding last night's men's basketball game," Temple said Friday in a statement. "We will review the reports thoroughly in accordance with university and NCAA policies. While we can't comment any further at this time, we take this matter very seriously."

The Owls are members of the American Athletic Conference, which confirmed it is a client of U.S. Integrity and had no additional comment. U.S. Integrity did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A UAB spokesperson declined comment, adding, "This does not apply to us."

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said it "received the alert and are reviewing the matter to see if there's any impact in Pennsylvania."

The point spread can dramatically shift when sportsbooks are taking in money on one side of a game. The line could be suspicious if, for example, an overwhelming amount of money came in on UAB -- unusual in an otherwise meaningless college basketball game without major injuries or suspensions to key players.

Multiple sportsbooks in the U.S. and offshore told ESPN's David Purdum they detected suspicious betting activity on UAB. Caesars Sportsbook and FanDuel were among sportsbooks that halted betting on the game. Both companies are cooperating with the U.S. Integrity investigation. A FanDuel spokesperson told ESPN that bets on UAB deemed suspicious were denied.

Sources familiar with the offshore sportsbook market said they also saw an influx of betting interest on UAB, beginning Thursday morning and eventually resulting in the game being taken off the board.

At Westgate, which has sportsbooks in nine states, the line moved from 2½ points to 8 at one point. Jay Kornegay, the race and sports manager at Westgate Las Vegas, said once the line reached 7, the money was even on both sides, typically an indication a game is on the level. Sportsbook directors often become suspicious when there is an inordinate amount bet on one side.

"We looked at it closely to monitor any type of injury late," Kornegay said of the Temple-UAB game. "But when we looked at the box score, everyone played. It's a big move and that's not normal, but we didn't see anything suspicious."

The Owls were outrebounded by UAB 41-19, their worst margin since they were outrebounded by 26 against Cincinnati in January 2019.

Temple is just 11-19 in coach Adam Fisher's first season and plays the regular-season finale Sunday in San Antonio against UTSA. The Owls open the conference tournament next week in Fort Worth, Texas.

The growth of legal sports betting in the U.S., especially among college-aged people, has prompted concerns about increased stress on athletes and an increased potential for wrongdoing. NCAA president Charlie Baker said this year that the NCAA is trying to modify "draconian" penalties college athletes face for breaking rules regarding betting on sports.

Another example tonight, top 10 matchup between UCLA and USC stuck on a dead network and that dude swear it's a conspiracy to not promote Juju. Pac12 network so small time I can't even find an illegal stream

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Tourney final will be on ESPN, Sunday @ 5pm EST
I'm already knowing. Ju Ju needs some help. They got the number one player in Cali again though

The beauty of watching women's hoops is you don't have to worry about players leaving after one year. You can actually watch teams build grow and evolve.

Ju Ju going to SC was a major move for them.
