Hearing some good things about SOC this year brehs. Their defense is going to be vicious. Could you imagine if they end the DISD streak in the first year in their new building?

5A is essentially 4A now since they created the 6A division a few years ago (I still haven't got used to this change lol).Word
When did they get a uptick in enrollment?
SOC was barely a 4A school when I was in high school.
Their student population was close to a 3A school back then.
There must be a lot Mexicans going to SOC now for that uptick in enrollment?

Yeah SOC is like 50% Mexican now. Plus when Maceo closed a few years ago, some of the students moved to SOC.
What year did you graduate and what was the demographics at that time? Coach Todd will have looking like Skyline in a few years. He's building the program from the ground up.Might hit up a game or two this year if possible. Haven't kept up with my alma mater in years
Not surprised. Read this article when you get a chance breh.Ok, this explains a lot.
I heard Desoto is like the only all Black school in DFW.(Meaning very few Mexicans)
I was told both Duncanville and Cedar Hill have a lot of Mexicans now.

'Black flight' changing the makeup of Dallas schools
Yeah but the article also mentions parents moving their kids out because DISD focuses more on Hispanic children. I've been hearing these complaints since Hinosoja became superintendent in '05.shyt, my T-Jones moved from Cedar Hill to Flower Mound last year because of Mexicans.
I graduated in 2001 when I was there it was probably 60/40 black and Mexican (maybe 55/45) with a few Filipinos and whites sprinkled in there. Football and basketball squads was ok, nothing specialWhat year did you graduate and what was the demographics at that time? Coach Todd will have looking like Skyline in a few years. I edited; it was probably 60/40 maybe a little more but there was a lotta Mexicans at SOC. But I fukked around too much to pay much attention anywayIt was 50/50 back then?
I figured it was 80/20 black at that time.
