Chris Rock is probably my favorite comedian ever mainly he because I followed him from the very beginning. (love Eddie but he was out there before I was Born.. he’s one of the goats though) I would neeeeeever disrespect Eddie like that though lol. Chris got a couple good ones, but Coming to America, Harlem Nights, and Boomerang are getting Chris out of here. I haven’t even named the majority of Murphy classics lol.

I think the issue is yall are including movies like Boomerang,48 hours,Beverly Hills Cop. But those movies are just great action movies and a romance film where Eddie isnt even being funny. Do we want to count Shrek and Mulan too lol?. Hes actually more funny and responsible for those movies being good than the ones I just listed


But if yall wanna include those ones I named, fine. 48 hours,Harlem Nights,Beverly Hills Cop,Coming 2 America,Life. Boomerang was never really that good to me. Neither was Trading Places,and Golden Child damned sure wasnt. He had 3-5 good/great movies imo. Chris Rock had 3 good/great movies. So me saying his catalogue isnt "much worst" is accurate as usual. And Eddie took way more swings at bat than Chris irrc.

And yes its a Eddie movie,but would you compare Coming to America to Ray and Ali that Jamie Foxx did lol? Just because Jamie Foxx is also a comedian? Eddie isnt being funny in Boomerang. And Beverly Hills cop and 48 hours are action movies. Compare him to Arnold,Bruce Willis and Stallone when it comes to those. They have funny exchanges,but I dont see those as comedy. Its not anymore funny than Die Hard. Eddie is the GOAT as far as versatilty is concerned. You really gotta compare him to Will. Although he would probably lose that battle overall.
