Somehow I had never seen Constantine and hearing as to how a sequel was coming out I decided to watch it yesterday, dope movie. I'd say underrated because I never hear it mentionned anywhere. Wish I had seen it on big screen when it came out.

More celtic animation from the makers of The Secret Of Kells and Song Of The Sea. This time the celtic fantasy tale is about a girl who wants to step in her father's footsteps and become a wolf hunter. It's not long however before she encounters and befriends a Wolfwalker, a girl who can transform into a wolf amongst other powers and lives amongst their pack. With the local lord determined to get rid of all the wolves in the forest, it of course puts her at odds with her father. Like their other animated films the story plays out fairly traditional but it really stands out due to its more unconventional pacing as well of course the incredible animation full of atypical perspectives and bursting with color and movement. For anyone familiar with the earlier works you might start to see the repetitiveness in their formula, but in an industry filled with samey looking CGI animation it's a formula that still works.

This was so, so good and I can't believe I've put this off until now. The whole movie is just beautifully atmospheric and the music complements it so well. The scene where Haemi dances during the sunset to Miles Davis has to be one of my favorite film moments ever. :banderas:

there's a reason I got it top 5 film of the 2010s :wow:
