I regret not doing this when it was on the Criterion Channel but they only had his movies up for a very brief window.

I liked it. The technology was crazy because it's really Will Smith talking to his younger self. And Mary Elizabeth is that bytch breh.
Gave it a shot yesterday after your post, enjoyable movie, gets the job done. I would like to see the main idea of the movie be picked up in some more "deep/serious" science-fiction movie and really explore the whole thing with cloning/identity. Seeing the Liège train station at the beginning was random as hell (I'm half-Belgian). Looks better on camera than in real life lol

Jessica Chastain is a former addict turned female assassin for a non-specified organisation. She is dealing with ethical questions regarding the wrong doing of her victims and when a job goes wrong (of course) company man Colin Farrell decides to take her out much against the wishes of their mentor (John Malkovich). Quite a bunch of screentime goes to the subplot of her going back to visit her mother and sister and reveals more of her troubled past and addiction, but also makes way for a love triangle subplot with her former ex who is now dating her sister. The ex is played by Common, who looks like he'd date neither one since any form of sexual tension is completely missing. Somehow this love triangle also has a subplot which involves Common having gambling problems. In between this weird unconvincing family drama the film sometimes throws in flimsy scenes to remind you it is still supposed to be a cliché film about a female assassin betrayed by her own organisation. It honestly feels like someone had written a pilot for a new Nikita series and when that didn't happen they mixed in the screenplay of a short drama feature to get it to the length of a feature film. If that doesn't sound bad enough the entire end confrontation feels horribly off, continuing for a few more minutes after the part where it should've just ended and only to make the bad guy look like the dumbest idiot ever.

Not A bad little flick. Only 86 mins so u don't feel like you wasted hours on it. Maybe could've been 10 mins longer to flesh out the story a bit more but a good watch if u bored.
