This....this was something special. For as much of a monster Anwar Congo was, you almost feel for him once the weight of his actions comes down on him....then you snap back to reality once you realize everything said and portrayed in this film was real. So real, various crew had to remain anonymous in the credits. He died last month this year.
This and it's follow-up are the best docs about evil I've ever seen. Ever better than Shoah, I think.

Great documentary and even though I knew he made it up, watching it when he finally ascended without ropes got my palms all sweaty.

I was right in my initial assessment: better than I thought it would be, but that Oscar talk and crtitcal acclaim needs to simmer down a bit. It tries to be Goodfellas for strippers but it doesn't stick the landing and kind of peters off midway. In fact, the whole last act kind of felt like they were rushing to meet a deadline with how everything wrapped up. J. Lo did carry this though and her entrance?

Watched Hobbs & Shaw via Redbox a couple days ago. I enjoyed it, although not as much as the mainline Fast & Furious movies, it really is an action comedy, with them trying to do a lot of comedy. Some of it works, and other parts are

It hit on some key things that makes a movie great to me. That's why I have it rated so high.
But since then Dr. Sleep and F vs. F has surpassed it. It's still 3rd tho.
