FInally had a day to watch some fukkery, so here goes:

1)Hack O' lantern aka Halloween Night 1988-Decent SOV slasher with some funny death scenes and overacting by the main characters; definitely a fun late 80s horror movie

2)The Theatre Bizarre 2011-Horror anthology movie that has some great stories (Mother of Toads will fukk you up) and some terrible ones (the second one is garbage); Not for the squeamish, but interesting anthology movie

3)Trilogy of Terror 1975-Yes, the OG ABC tv movie version. Ehh, very bland and the only good story is the third one, He WHo Kills.

4)Alligator 2 1991-:mjlol:Complete clusterfukk of ridiculousness and not enough blood/kill scenes. Makes the first Alligator movie look like The Godfather.

5)13 Sins 2014-Pretty decent thriller. There is a corny twist in the final 3rd of the movie, but its worth a watch definitely. There is one scene where you will die from laughter at unintentional comedy

6)Rawhead Rex 1986-:russ:Those that know the history of this film know why I posted that smiley. Watch this movie is all I will say.

Got this just for Hoffman to be honest and wasn't disappointed, GREAT performance from him as usual. Not a great movie but looking at the reviews and I think most are a little harsh. Like there's a few problems, narrator doesn't really work, some cliched characters etc but it was still a decent enough way to spend 80 minutes. Some really black humour, a  moment of ultra violence, good cast (like you have Turturro, PSH and Herc from the Wire in a car together) and Slattery keeps a tight hold on things.

It was funny though, I remember in Before The Devil Knows You're Dead, right at the start you had Hoffman fukking Marisa Tomei, I mean dude was going totally ham. Here, not five minutes in, he's on top of Christina Hendricks banging away :heh: RIP to the GOAT :to:

Michelle Williams plays a french woman who lives with her stern elitist mother in law (Kristin Scott Thomas, because every English-speaking novel adaptation taking place in France has her in it) while her husband is off to fight the war. When the government surrenders and ze Germans arrive in town, an officer (Matthias Schoenaerts) is stationed in their house, where forbidden romance blooms. It's not a bad movie but it's kinda a bland one that never really builds suspense on any of its many premises (a local farmer kills one of ze Germans because he was after his wife, the land owners collaborate with ze Germans in hopes of holding their elitist position, etc.). Most shockingly, there's a Parisian refugee woman with her daughter who both just looked so fukking stereotypical Jewish (seriously, the daughter looked like fukking Anne Frank cosplay) that I couldn't fathom none of ze Germans catching on to that shyt. Anyway, for reasons forever unknown Margot Robbie is in this as well, in a small side role as a messy black haired farm girl whose only noteworthy scene is getting dikked down by one of ze Germans. 3/5

Run All Night - much better than expected. Kinnaman and Neeson were great when they were on screen together. Turns pretty generic by the end, but the family stuff was well done.

True Story - not good.

French feel-good comedy-drama about a teenage girl in a deaf farmer family. As the only person who can hear, she plays a large part in keeping the business running, but when her music teacher finds out that she is an excellent singer, the clash between chasing her dreams and staying with a family that practically can't exist without her starts to tear her apart. As most French comedies there's nothing subtle about the humor (see also Intouchables) but it is genuinely funny. Midway through the movie starts to buckle under the weight of everything that's going on (additionally there's also a boy in school she likes who can sing well but has his own problems, while her father decides to run for mayor which also comes with its own problems) but once the movie gets back on track it hits you hard with a beautiful climatic scene that leaves you like :wow:.

You think you just watched a powerful ending that wraps it up, but it's not, because it then drops another climatic scene on you, one that's even more powerful than the one before. At which point you're pretty much past the smiley point and going into full gif mode.
