X-rated french version of thelma and louise but add post-colonialism to the gender politics. stars are actual pornstars. i kinda liked it. not a great movie but im a sucker for hard-edged 90s and early 2000s movies. there is a rawness that is missing from today's underground. very postmodern and amoral while still saying something. the porn actresses are very good conventional actresses. tragically, one of them committed suicide. ultimately, there wasnt much of a career for them after this in normal movies.

I finally watched Detective Pikachu on Saturday.

I hadn't played a pokemon game in nearly 20 years, but I bought a Switch on Black Friday and played Brilliant Diamond and then went back and played Shield.

I'm glad I waited to watch it. Now that I'm getting back into the franchise I understood most of the references in the movie. If I had seen it even six months ago I would have had no idea what was going on or what they were talking about.
