Beverly Hills Cop 2, it's not as action packed as I remember it being or maybe I been spoiled by other action movies from the 80s. I know it's a comedy first but it's still an action comedy

Yes he did, the high contrast and saturated warm orange color tones always made for superb visuals. Theres something about the visual stamp of those early Simpson/Bruckheimer action flicks that should get their own chapter in books used as reference for filmmaking.
