Cuaron did his thing on Azkaban.

Order of the Phoenix was a trash book and movie. Loved the HFB book but the David Yates movies bored the fukk outta me.
David Yates was not good at dealing with intensity. Books full of tense moments but his films are a smooth boring cruise for the most part.

Cuaron's Voldemort? :mjtf:

He only did Prisoner of Azkaban breh.

:picard:

he didn't have any duel or Voldemort though as he only directed the Prisoner of Azkaban. He had to take care of adapting the first "complex" Harry Potter book in terms of story and I feel like he did a good job while adding a particular ambiance and having genius ideas, (talking shrunken heads) and unmatched directing (the scene where Harry noticed Peter Pettigrew's name on the map and goes after him during the night is the most tense of all the movies, the travel through time was also fire, and plenty others)...

Now if we're talking Mike Newell and David Yates who took care of 4 to 8... I feel you a 100% :francis:

Y’all right.

It's my favorite of all 8. To me they started to become bad with the 4th one.

Don't hesitate to read them again though. The books still fire.
Goblet of Fire mostly was my favorite because I read that one the most. I loved those books up until a certain age since I do not remember reading the last two. Im guessing I phased out.

Just found GOF and OotP. I thought I had given them away but they were behind my dresser all of these years.:gladbron:

Thanks.

The movies didn’t do the books justice
To be fair these are the types of books that are a nightmare to adapt. You go through a whole year of events everytime with plenty microscenes that all have more or less relevance to the piece. Kudos to them for at least having taken the challenge
