it doesn't negate his value when I'll have 5 keepers who would legitimately go in the first 3 rounds next season

This should be obvious....but when it costs you a 2nd, 3rd AND 4th to get those players....that's essentially where you're drafting them next year.

I'm confident enough in my ability to draft well that my team should be competitive regardless of where my picks are.

If my draft starts in the 6th round but I have people like Abreu, Springer, Boegarts, Bradley, Simmons, Cingrani, and Ventura who are on the way to being as good as I think they could be, I'll be fine.

I can EASILY get those picks back if I don't think I'm gonna end up in the money by the deadline...
