This is totally wrongheaded. Most legitimate/big money/expert leagues are run without vetoes.

Collusion and clear errors are the only veto worthy situations. "Unfair" deals are not. Trying to get over on another owner is the best part of fantasy. The entirety of the league trying to protect others dion dumb moves....or their own position....has no place in serious leagues

Every big money league I have been in has had league vote on trades to prevent unfair trades and keep things honest. You will always have a couple of idiots that will veto everything out of spite... I only veto unfair trades... And I've been in leagues where it's $250 buy-in's per team...

agree to disagree that all owners of teams shouldn't have a say if a trade is unfair

There should be a league vote on any rule changes

That's how we've always done it and even when we've voted on favor of something like the two NA spots it still wasn't changed

There are draft picks in play too depending on the quality of the player id be receiving

Got a few deals that are close so I'd appreciate it if you have any serious offers to send them fast

Thank you sir and enjoy your friday
Lol dude you're so delusional. I view those assets as negative value because I've gotta do something with them. And I know very well that nobody else wants them. So it dilutes what I actually want, which is picks.

There's definitely interest in ozuna and Castillo (to a lesser extent)... Swihart as well

Dj and Jose can both help in average, obp, and stolen bases

Those are a rarity, from what I've seen. Why would a league where everyone is putting up $250 need to worry about unfair trades?

What's unfair to many may not be to the two in the deal, like the Trout deal. Out of context it looks ridiculous, but it was with a full understanding, by both owners, of the implications. They both paid, and sone they weren't colluding, they should be allowed to run their team however they want.

The problem with vetoes is that people vote selfishly. They don't necessarily vote the trade as patently unfair, but rather unfair to them and damaging to their individual chances. That is not a valid reason for a veto.

I'm gonna throw a real life scenario at you.

the Lakers, Pelicans, and Rockets all agree on a trade where Chris Paul goes to LA, Odom and pieces go to Pelicans, and Pau goes to Rockets.

Dan Gilbert, the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers (not involved in the trade with his team) writes a letter saying the trade needed to be voted on by the other 29 owners since the Pelicans were owned by the NBA at the time.

The trade was vetoed by David Stern quoting "basketball reasons" even though the NBA had placed a GM to be in charge of basketball operations and player personnel.

I just wanted to bring that up because I still hate David Stern!

Now to your comment...

Just because two people agree to a deal doesn't mean that it's a fair deal.... some people are just fukking idiotic when it comes to trading or running a team... I've received trade offers from people wanting to take my top players and then I wouldn't have anyone to fill my positions because they would be giving me 4 pitchers for my 1B, SS, OF, 3B... If I firesold my team like I was thinking earlier I would've changed the landscape of the league because I had 40 offers, but I stuck with my team and am in 5th place right now... I've been doing fantasy sports for almost 18 years and I've learned that you need to have votes to keep people honest.... FOR THE INTEGRITY OF THE LEAGUE! If you want the league to be just nonstop fukkery, then take away voting on trades and see what happens... I've seen the end result... it ends with starting a new league because then you will have collusion and no way to stop it... because if you were to go to commish review on trades then it's up to one persons biased opinion instead of majority rules and if that one person were to veto a trade after taking away the veto ability from everyone else it then you would be a giant hypocrite. Maybe the league should be changed in name to "The Coli Fantasy Baseball Dictatorship"

Again, not calling you or anyone else a hypocrite, I've let a lot of trades go through... I have vetoed 2 trades the entire year because they were not good trades... even if they were agreed on by both parties... that still does not make it a good or acceptable trade... sometimes the rest of the league has to protect owners that don't know what they are doing.
