Da hell happened to movies like Akeelah and the Bee. male a Doc McStuffins movie- damn; those are the type of images that young black girls need to remember. There's a reason why I never watched Insecure after the first 2 eps and I don't f with Issa or Tiffany- they all exist in the same mold. The only way they stop making this garbage is if we stop supporting it! and yes, I say we, as women. Boycott by not going to see this, stop thinking this shyt is cute, bc it's not; stop contributing to this by the negative potrayals of our own men, while publicly expressing support for white men who don't have our little girl's values at heart. what movie has some underage white girl with the "hand on the hip" staring down her teacher in a sexual manner. This is symbolic of giving them permission to be "fast" and "loose", just like exposing them to IG, youtube, twitter, at too young of an age..
