No that's not what I said at all, I said he still shies away from games in closing minutes. For every game he makes the correct decision(s) and executes, there's about 5 games where he doesn't.

So sometimes he's clutch and sometimes he's not. Like pretty much everybody else in the league. How clutch was Kobe in the OKC series?
:deadrose:

Don't get me wrong, I understand the point. He seems to shy away at times, but he's steps up just as often. Its just not a cut and dried thing. Like Ewing came up short more often than not, same with Malone. Lebron has had way more big moments than those two.

--Pat Riley coaches Bron directly (withOUT Wade around). Pat also moves into Bron's sleeping quarters in order to scrutinize LBJ. Pat deducts from Bron's salary/endorsements personally when Bron plays like a schoolgirl.

--USA Marine bootcamp/drill sergeant/Green Beret -type drills during which 4th quarters are simulated & Bron is forced to be clutch WHILE Bron or his sons are at gunpoint. (NBA games are not played at gunpoint, so 4th quarter clutchness during NBA games would be a breeze compared to such PRACTICE.)

--hypnosis & motivational speeches while Bron is hypnotized

--mental visualization & "The Secret" & law of attraction techniques

--tie cheeeeeee

--acupuncture
--exorcism

--alignment of chakras

--development of a solid, good relationship btwn Bron & his bio dad

It's not about sometimes he's clutch and sometimes he's not - if you only come up trumps in 16-20% of those situations, than you ain't got it. And I don't mean just executing and winning in those situations, I mean making the right decisions and involving himself appropriately and actually LOOKING like the leader of the team.

Go back to '84 and make his father stay. It runs in his blood to run away from responsibility.

In recent times, I've always believed that bron would benefit from mental therapy of some sort. As far out and impractical as some of those examples are, they may be the answer, SOME of them.

This whole shyt is so overblown

I really hate Skip Bayless

It's overblown, but it IS a problem. There are times when he unfairly gets the blame, but there are also times when he clearly just disappears late in close games.

I think it has more to do with him being afraid of criticism. When skip first started on this bullshyt it was baseless but it's become a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy.

He either needs an reliable jump shot like you said or an post game. Instead of visiting with Olajuwon he should just watch footage of Barkley. Dude was only 6'4 but dominated in the paint in his prime. But who are we kidding next year Lebron will come back with the same exact moves he's had for the past 5 or 6 Seasons.

I think the first thing that needs to happen is he needs to develop HIS SPOT on the floor. What I mean is, Kobe has a favorite spot on the floor, it's from the elbow to the top of the circle usually on the right side of the floor. Once he finds HIS SPOT, he needs to shoot from there everyday in practice, pregame warmups, halftime warmups, alone on his court, but most importantly he needs to shoot from there during games. He has to develop trust in that particular shot, with no hesitation in taking it at all.

I got a lot of ideas, but for me that's what he needs to do first.

Bron is a slasher. When its 5 seconds left & the lane is closed, he's a deer stuck in headlights :sadbron:

Yesterday I was telling some fukkhead on here, Bron shooting 53% got casual fans thinking he's the most efficient scorer in the league :skip: Real heads know that when Bron's placed in situations where his jumper HAS to bail him out, he's pretty much useless. Bron's a worldclass athlete. I'm sure he's already spending his summers working hard as hell on his jumper. I think he's just too bulky to ever get that wet pull up. Either you're a pure shooter (Reggie, Ray, Durant, Bird) or you're not. :manny:

the clutch stuff is overblown slightly, but it is obvious he thinks too much during the final minutes. that hero ball stuff is so exaggerated, dudes is not really hitting those shots like that, so when someone does, the play is damn near exaulted on a throne.

if i coached him, i would tell him to stop taking so long to make your move at the end of games. attack the basket or at least get to the free throw level- he actually has a nice touch within there with the runners, floaters, etc. it's like he just flat out stopped doing this when he got to miami. he used to lead the nba in 4th quarter scoring with the cavs. i think he kinda tries to defer to wade in those times, because wade got that rep for closing and he don't wanna overshadow him being that he joined wade team.

like in game 4 vs boston at the end of the 4th, if he jab stepped right and took 2 hard dribbles left and drew the defense, that would have made boston break down, and got the heat a great shot. at long as he attack for himself and or create a good look can't be mad at that.

also, man spo does not help his cause with the plays that he draws up, dudes be out of sync. spo
