Some of the maintenance has been annoying but so far (knock on wood) it hasn't been too bad as long as I buy my parts and have them installed at a private mechanic
Thinking of putting the BimmerTech Carplay/Android Auto retrofit in since BMW phased out the 3G Network and my manufactured date JUST missed the cut off for the 4G modem upgrade
Probably gonna get something new in a year or two though. I'd really like an EV but good lord at them prices, plus I don't have a garage which I feel is like of a prerequisite for an EV

I knew I shouldn’t have came in this thread lol makes my little M235i feel inadequate@sdizzle's twin pretty much but with 792M wheels. It's a 2020 BMW M340i. I got the blacked out lower side grilles and added wheel spacers (not shown in this pic). The technology in the G20 series is incredible and this car is very underrated in performance
Say brehs, recently the X3M40 has entered my interest (2018-2020 specifically). The B58 speaks for itself on the reliability and power front so I'm not worried there. Any other things I should be concerned about when considering picking one up used in good/great condition? What kind mileage should I aim to stay below to avoid any BMW maintenance gremlins?

They are amazing, I've had two of them. One first gen B58 and one second gen B58 (2020 M340i). Might be the best modern 6 cylinder BMW has. Love the X3 M40's, that body style X3 is really nice. I didn't have them long enough but they are pretty solid motors and not over the top on maintenance. I'd like to get another M340i or possibly a X3 M40 down the road
