Installed a android headunit in my wife's X5 for mother's day last week. Her old unit could only stream bluetooth calls, but not music

This is the one in our X5

I have a Dynavin unit in my E39 that I actually prefer over my wife's x5. 'm not totally sold on the android OS. It's not bad, but my Dynavin is a bit more stable.
Dynavin

Both can also play videos while you drive
What year is her X5? How have the repair bills been? I’m debating finally getting an X5 but my wife thinks it’s gonna be impractical from an upkeep perspective

Her's is a 2008 with around 125k on it. No serious issues outside of a fuel pump failure while we were out one night last year. We recently replaced a few front end bushings and a bad coil recently, but i think that's to be expected on an suv at around this mileage. I can't really comment on the cost as i have a friend that owns a bmw repair shop. The interior is holding up well and the body style still has a few years left of looking current imo.

Thanks for sharing. I’d buy a certified one I think anyways, or used but nothing older than 2015 probably.

This is the Dynavin unit i installed in my e39. Despite not having the AppleCar function, i would still highly recommend getting it over the android unit like i installed in my wife's x5 if given the option. The OS and overall functionality / bt stability is just way better.
